Audience Hidden Treasure CAT 7 Ethernet Cable

The Architecture

CAT 7 specification requires shielded twisted pairs (STP) rather than the unshielded twisted pairs of CAT 5 and 6. Each pair is individually shielded, and an overall shield wraps the cable — four independent pair shields plus one common ground shield. That shielding level provides substantially better noise rejection than CAT 5e or CAT 6, particularly for the RF frequencies that switching power supplies and wireless devices generate in a typical listening room.
