Lumin T3X
Lumin T3X
The T3 was already one of the most celebrated streamers in its price range. Lumin took it, added the toroidal linear power supply from the U2 and the optical fibre networking from their flagship players, kept the price the same, and called it the T3X. That kind of update — more for the same money — is how confidence in a product gets expressed.
The Additions
Toroidal linear power supply — the same supply that defines the U2's sonic character relative to switch-mode alternatives. Linear supplies don't generate the switching noise that SMPS designs introduce, and a toroidal transformer provides better load regulation than a conventional E-I core. SFP fibre optical network input for galvanic isolation of the network connection — the same feature that appears in the U2X and X2 flagship products, now in the T3X at mid-range pricing.
The DAC Platform
Dual ESS ES9028PRO chips, one per channel. Femto Clock system for timing precision. Leedh Processing lossless volume control — no bit truncation at any listening level. XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced outputs simultaneously. Roon Ready, Qobuz, TIDAL, and the full Lumin app ecosystem.
Press Recognition
The Lumin T3 was reviewed by Hi-Fi+ and What Hi-Fi before the T3X update. The T3X has been discussed on AudiophileStyle and by Lumin dealers as a meaningful improvement over the T3 at unchanged pricing.
