Overview

The original S6 integrated uses EL34 power tubes, each channel of the S6 Black Edition employs three Genelex Gold Lion KT77 tubes to generate 40Wpc (specified at 5% THD), driven by a Genelex Gold Lion 12AX7/ECC83 dual-triode tube. 

The S6 Black Edition is parts and circuitry improvement over the standard S6, plus a built in DAC. To improve the S6 the stock circuitry has been revised in the signal path and power management, surpassing the milestones already achieved in the S6. Power output is now 40W, 15% more than the standard model.

  • The polarization of the power output valves has been completely revised to eliminate the capacitor and cathode resistor.
  • The input selection circuit has been implemented using the same technology designed for our most upscale equipment and extreme care has been taken in the design of the ground paths and channel separation.
  • The valuable audio signal, where possible, travels protected in high-quality coaxial cables.
  • Strategically placed polypropylene capacitors have been added to the power supply, improving transient response and signal dynamics.
  • It comes equipped with 3 digital inputs USB,SPDIF and Toslink to accomodate the built in DAC.

The DAC

The built-in DAC implements a Sabre ES9018K2M DAC chip. Inputs include USB (supporting PCM up to 384kHz and DSD to DSD256), TosLink, and S/PDIF.
