These were used in an unconventional but effective application: installed in a fuse holder soldered to the incoming hot lead inside a power conditioner. The intention wasn't circuit protection — it was using QSA's conditioning technology as a system-wide treatment. Everything plugged into the conditioner received the benefit. Combined with QSA AC receptacles, it creates a power distribution system that is genuinely exceptional.

The previous owner upgraded to Gold and Crystal Gold Red levels and no longer needs these. Their loss, your gain.

The QSA Black/Red Level

The Black/Red is focused on detail and image density — more so than the Red or Yellow levels. The center image becomes more solid and three-dimensional. The sense of space beyond the speakers is more convincing. The classic QSA naturalness is present, but on a foundation of greater resolution than the lower tiers. Think of it as the point in the QSA line where the character shifts from "more natural" to "more real."

Used as described in the incoming hot lead of a power conditioner, the effect transmits to the entire downstream system. Add QSA receptacles at the outlets and you've built something that outperforms conventional power conditioning at multiples of the cost.
