The Simply Italy Black Edition from Unison Research is a 10 Watt, Class A Ultralinear tube integrated amplfier that utilizes the KT77 Power Tube. Additional features include a built in DAC, and a subwoofer output.

The Unison Research Black Edition boasts advanced technical and sonic performance over the standard Simply Italy amplifier. It also features a new cosmetic design with a piano black wood front panel, black gun metal finish and updated lettering graphics.

Innovations

In the Simply Italy Black Edition introduces a new technical innovation: electronic polarization. This solution ensures the stable operation of the power tubes throughout their lifespan, eliminating the need for auto-bias. This design allows Unison to extract the best performance from the KT77 valve and also provide maximum power to the valve.

Output Transformer

The redesigned output transformer features 5 output voltage taps feeding the various sections that need power. This further enhances the sound quality.

Signal & Power Path

Additionally, They've revised the circuitry in the signal path and power management. The input selection circuit now utilizes the same advanced technology found in our most premium equipment. They've also paid extreme attention to the design of ground paths and channel separation to ensure optimal performance and a low noise floor.

  • Electronic bias adjustment
  • Unfiltered SUB output that maintains the sound timbre of the amplifier designed to be connected to active subwoofer
  • Input selection circuit implemented using micro relays and Return GND technology

In addition to the 3 analogue inputs, inside the amplifier there's the new DAC3 which adds 3 more digital inputs; USB (PCM up to 384 kHz, DSD native up to 256x e DoP up to 128x), Tos-link e SPDIF up to 192 kHz as standard
