IsoAcoustics Aperta Sub
IsoAcoustics Aperta Sub
A subwoofer sitting on the floor without isolation is coupling its energy into the room's structure rather than purely into the air. The result is bass that's heavier and less defined than the driver and amplifier are capable of — the floor is doing something to the sound that you didn't ask it to do.
What the Aperta Sub Does
IsoAcoustics' patented isolation system decouples the subwoofer from the floor surface, reducing the energy transmitted into the supporting structure. The audible consequence is bass that is tighter, more defined, and better controlled — the subwoofer is working against the air rather than setting the floor in motion. Room boom decreases. Bass response tightens. And for listeners with neighbors below, significantly less of the subwoofer's output transfers into the building structure.
Supports up to 80 pounds, covering the majority of domestic subwoofers including full-sized designs. The low-profile design is compatible with front-firing and side-firing configurations without obstructing the driver port.
Press Recognition
IsoAcoustics products have been reviewed by Stereophile and various professional audio publications, where the measured and audible isolation performance has been consistently documented. The Aperta Sub applies the same isolation technology as the well-regarded Aperta speaker stands to the subwoofer application.
