Stein Blue Stars

The Stein Blue Stars bring the technology of Steinmusic's Blue Diamonds into the automobile cabin. The Blue Diamonds are among the most effective acoustic treatment devices we've used in home listening rooms — the Blue Stars translate that technology to a different application.

Placement

Five Blue Stars on the inside of the rear window is the standard starting point, positioned as marked in Steinmusic's placement guide. The dashboard placement adds a different dimension — typically one near the center of the dashboard, facing rearward into the cabin.

They work on their own, but the effect multiplies substantially when combined with the H1 Micro Harmonizers placed in the door pockets. The combination changes the character of the entire cabin rather than just treating individual surfaces.

What You'll Hear

The sound expands beyond the boundaries of the car cabin. On concert recordings, the space of the hall becomes more present. On intimate recordings, the scale becomes more convincing. The high frequencies smooth out and become less fatiguing, which matters more on a long drive than it sounds like it would. The immersion factor increases — you stop being aware you're listening in a box.
