Darwin Enlightenment Speaker Cables

The Design

Pure silver conductors. Cryogenic treatment throughout. Air dielectric — no conventional insulation in contact with the conductors along the signal path. 20 organic crystals are incorporated into the design, each selected for specific properties related to EMI suppression and mechanical resonance control. Some of these crystals have been used in military and electronic applications for decades. Finding the right combination and balance took considerable development time. An organic cotton sleeve handles the outer structure and additional resonance damping.

Low-mass construction. This is a deliberate and consequential design choice — minimizing the mass that the signal has to push through and the mechanical coupling between the cable and the floor.

A Handling Note

These cables are delicate. The minimalist design that makes them sound the way they do comes with a physical tradeoff. If you've been called ham-handed or all-thumbs, handle these with particular care. They reward patience and reward it handsomely in terms of what they do sonically.
