The U2 takes the design philosophy that made the U2X the transport of choice for serious listeners and brings it into a single chassis with an internal linear power supply. No external PSU box. The toroidal transformer lives inside, alongside the streaming electronics, providing the noise isolation benefit of a linear supply without the second chassis on the shelf.
