Wireworld Silver Eclipse 10
Wireworld Silver Eclipse 10
Five years in development. The Silver Eclipse 10 represents the accumulated learning of four-plus decades of cable design distilled into a single interconnect. David Salz doesn't revise the Silver Eclipse unless there's something meaningful to say, and Series 10 had things to say.
The DNA Helix Geometry
The patented DNA Helix design arranges conductors in parallel strands within layered flat geometry. The spacing between conductors is precisely controlled — too much and the sound goes warm and diffuse; too little and it goes clinical and etched. The DNA Helix locks that relationship in place, which is why these cables have a consistency of voice across system contexts that most interconnects don't achieve.
Series 10 doubles the strand groups compared to the Silver Eclipse 8: four conductors with 32 insulated strands of Grain-Optimized OCC-7N silver-clad copper. More strands means better preservation of low-level detail and wider, more natural dynamic contrasts. Quiet passages get quieter. Transients hit with more authority.
Composilex 5
Wireworld's latest-generation proprietary dielectric lowers the noise floor below what conventional low-loss insulation — including DuPont Teflon — can achieve. Less dielectric noise means a blacker background. A blacker background means more music. It also maintains stable wire spacing over time, protecting the cable's voicing for years rather than months.
Press Recognition
The Absolute Sound named the Silver Eclipse 10 Product of the Year. The Absolute Sound, Hi-Fi+, and Stereophile all reviewed it favorably, with particular attention to the improvement in low-level resolution and dynamic contrast over the already-excellent Silver Eclipse 8. Stereophile's measurements confirmed the performance the listening reviews described.
